Pakistan Independence Day

I write through you to the Australian Pakistani community to express my sincerest and best wishes
for Pakistan Independence Day 2021.

2020 and 2021 have been tough years for the world over battling the dreaded coronavirus pandemic.
But it has been more so for the people of Pakistan who faced so many internal and
external challenges. But the will to fight and survive exemplifies the tenacity of the people of
Pakistan to endure all hardship.

As a nation, Pakistan has adapted to the regional and global environment around it but throughout
its history it has triumphed because hope for a better future remains at the forefront of a hopeful
nation.

I take this opportunity to wish all Australians of Pakistani heritage every success in business, in
trade, in education and in all their endeavours. They have been a beacon of success to which all
can testify.

The success of Pakistani Australians and all Pakistanis in the diaspora is success for Pakistan.
The bond, the friendships, the brotherly relations that I have developed with so many Pakistanis
in Australia and abroad is phenomenal and an enduring one that will overcome all barriers.

I am proud of the friendships and honoured by the love and trust that I have with so many Pakistani
Australians so much so that I can claim honorary Pakistani citizenship. I am forever grateful to my
friend his excellency the former CG of Pakistan Sydney, H E Azam Mohmamed Saheb for giving me that
title.
