THE 2020 Community Cup rescheduled to March’ 2022 amid wet weather forcast!

PPBAA News: Fayyaz Sumbul Foundation and the management committee of the 2022 Community Cup rescheduled the tournament to be played at Bradman Oval to end March 2022 after receiving ground and weather news for the day (8th Jan, 2022). Speaking at the occasion Rafiq Chaudhry told PPBAA and all involved enthusiasts that keeping players’ safety as a prime concern the management of the tournament decided to reschedule it till the end of March (most probably 26th March as in finalisation process) 2022.

A fact to mention here is that Bowral the town hosting cricket tournaments, mostly played at the key venue of legendary Don Bradman’s Oval received unprecedented rains in the last one week and there is a forecast for further pouring in the next one week. He further thanked Pakistan High Commissioner Excellency Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, First Secretary/Head of Chancery Zain ul Abidin, Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney Muhammad Ashraf and Sydney Deputy Consul General Muhammad Sheryar Khan for their unconditional support throughout.

This time the tournament management was successful in achieving a great response from Australian and Pakistani communities as never witnessed before. Sharjeel Siddiqui (the team coach) thanked the sponsors and requested to keep supporting them in future as well. Also shared plans to hold many similar tournaments to facilitate budding and senior cricket players and fans in the coming future.
